"Love Is in The Air"

“Love Is In the Air” Please stop by and visit our gallery during the February events at “Placita Madrid”. I will be unveiling my newest painting(s) at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 8. Since the two surgeries I had on my right elbow, I do not paint as fast as I used to, so, collectors are encouraged to come out and see what is new.

Artists in Placita Madrid in the Historic San Elizario Art District announce their February weekend events celebrating Valentine’s Day. Other artists in the building who will be showcased are: Claudia Galindo, metal smith, who will debut her newest jewelry collection, Love Knots-Tied Together. Debra De Santis, and Carol De Santis Munoz new artists in Placita Madrid, will be taking part in the festivities by showcasing their “Lovebird” series of original art. All the artists will have an array of gift items for your loved one.

On Saturday, February 8th, poets and fiction writers will have romance related readings from 1:30 to 3:30 pm, and possibly longer. I will be giving a talk on the romantic side of some of the master Impressionist artists from 2:00 to 2:30 pm.

On Sunday, February 9th, from 1:30 to 3:30 pm, Adrian Salas, a baritone singer, accompanied by a pianist, will be singing love songs.

Featured visiting guest artist, Candy Mayer, will be in Suite B7 with a full assortment of her works, originals, prints and cards. She will have prints of her new work, "Images of UTEP," a collage celebrating the Centennial, and other UTEP scenes.

Come meet Monet, our precious pet. He is with us every day in our gallery.

Welcome to my first newsletter. We will be having two fun events during December. The first one is "Art for Paws" and is hosted by Escamilla's Fine Art Gallery (me and my wife Rachel), Magdalena's Custom Jewelry (Claudia Galindo) and Placita Madrid (Gloria Flores). We are excited to have our customers come by with their four legged pets for pictures with Santa and paw printing. The pet related funds will benefit the Humane Society of El Paso. Pet related gift items will be available in both shops.

While there, browse my wide selection of original art and Escamilla gift items for gifting to others or for yourself. My Escamilla 2014 calendars are going fast, so call to reserve one before they are gone. I also have a limited number of my original hand painted ornaments available.
