Pre-Christmas Sale Event

Back by popular demand, Arturo Garibay, fusion guitarist, will be performing in Escamilla’s Fine Art Gallery, September 13 and 14. His music is a blend of flamenco, rock, jazz and new age sounds. He will play selections from popular artists such as Santana, Gypsy Kings, Mark Antoine, Ottmar Lieubert and more, plus music from his new CD “It’s About Time”. During this two day event, Escamilla’s Fine Art Gallery will be holding a pre-Christmas discount shopping weekend. Great time to visit historical San Elizario and jump start your holiday shopping. Escamilla has new oil paintings, some new gift items and his 2015 calendars. Appetizers and refreshments will be served. Art from the Heart Fundraiser for Hospice El Paso

The chili I painted for Hospice El Paso's fundraiser "Art from the Heart" won first place in the judging contest sponsored by Western Refining. The chili will be auctioned September 5th during their fundraiser dinner 6:00 PM at the Centennial Club. Fourth Annual Celebration & East Side Artist Tour

We are celebrating our 4th year with our gallery in historic San Elizario and the annual El Paso East Side Artist tour. There will be live music and plenty of appetizers and refreshments for your enjoyment.

Sat, May 3rd, brother and sister Andrew and Alexis, along with Oscar Rodriguez will be performing classical, jazz, oldies and current music from 12 noon to 4:30 pm.

Sun., May 4th, Arturo Garibay, formerly with Taber & Garibay, will be performing from 1:00 to 4 pm.

March Events

Escamilla's Fine Art Gallery will be celebrating the Grand Opening of one of the artists in our building, Debra DeSantis. We are delighted to have this talented artist here in Placita Madrid. In celebration of her event, Escamilla's Gallery will be providing live music and having some writers reading some of their work during this weekend.

The guest artist for the month of March is Rachel Davis, who features handcrafted beaded crosses, rosaries and cross jewelry.

Claudia Galindo, "Magdalena's Custom Jewelry" will also be open during this weekend.

"Love Is in The Air"

“Love Is In the Air” Please stop by and visit our gallery during the February events at “Placita Madrid”. I will be unveiling my newest painting(s) at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 8. Since the two surgeries I had on my right elbow, I do not paint as fast as I used to, so, collectors are encouraged to come out and see what is new.

Artists in Placita Madrid in the Historic San Elizario Art District announce their February weekend events celebrating Valentine’s Day. Other artists in the building who will be showcased are: Claudia Galindo, metal smith, who will debut her newest jewelry collection, Love Knots-Tied Together. Debra De Santis, and Carol De Santis Munoz new artists in Placita Madrid, will be taking part in the festivities by showcasing their “Lovebird” series of original art. All the artists will have an array of gift items for your loved one.

On Saturday, February 8th, poets and fiction writers will have romance related readings from 1:30 to 3:30 pm, and possibly longer. I will be giving a talk on the romantic side of some of the master Impressionist artists from 2:00 to 2:30 pm.

On Sunday, February 9th, from 1:30 to 3:30 pm, Adrian Salas, a baritone singer, accompanied by a pianist, will be singing love songs.

Featured visiting guest artist, Candy Mayer, will be in Suite B7 with a full assortment of her works, originals, prints and cards. She will have prints of her new work, "Images of UTEP," a collage celebrating the Centennial, and other UTEP scenes.
